   If you’re considering a toaster-oven style fryer, consider this model first
    I have always been skeptical of “air-fryers,” and after much societal pressure, I decided to invest. After much research, this model seemed to be exactly what I wanted and I doubt I could be more pleased with the experience. This model is an upgrade from the previous and did not have any offensive smell whatsoever. However, I did wash it prior to use.I had always been inclined to get a toaster-oven style air-fryer with a glass window because I like to check in on my food, but after seeing numerous reviews favoring the bucket-style air-fryers (for numerous reason), this model felt like a perfect compromise with the window and light feature.Pros:- Many things taste better in the air-fryer, for whatever reason. Fries are more crispy, even broccoli requires no spices to convince me to eat it.- The window/light: it’s perfect. Love it.- Settings/features are easy to navigate. Love the dial for quick adjustments.- Broil feature is exceptional, especially for quickly browning cheese atop an open face sandwich.- Huge time saver. The pre-heat is always less than 3 min, as opposed to my oven which takes 10-15 min.- Also, a huge time saver: it doesn’t lose its heat quite as much an oven, or it reheats fast enough, should you decide to open it early to check on the food.- The basket is huge. I’m only feeding myself, granted, but I’m glad I did not upgrade in size. If I plan on roasting a turkey once every 3 years, I have an oven for that. But for everything else, I’ll be fine with here.- Odor control. I read some complaints here, where people said that their whole apartment smelled like fish after cooking fish, and to them I ask, “Have you not cooked fish before?” I cook stinky things all the time and the lingering smell must be half of what I’m used to, I believe due to the odor control filter on this model.Cons:- You can’t dump the bucket over a plate, or the grill plate will fall straight out of the bucket, despite the rubber guards.- Those rubber guards are a pain to get on and off while cleaning, but it’s a minor inconvenience.- The bucket is easy to clean, but the grill plate can be surprisingly greasy/sticky. After the first use, I left ran the fryer on 400 degrees, empty, just to burn out any residues and that seemed to help.

   Easy to get consistent, excellent results with this fryer
   I started doing some air frying when I got my Instant-pot 8-in-1 that has an extra air fryer lid. That gave some reasonable results but was sometimes awkward to use (hard to remove the top liner for turning food in the bottom section, etc.) as well as quite small – but it got me started on the air-frying way of cooking.Enter the Ninja – two large baskets make it easy to air-fry a larger amount of food, with 2 independent time and temperature controls. The air circulation in this device is excellent, and I found I can easily cook many items WITHOUT having to turn them (good for chicken quarters etc., but especially handy for smaller and finicky stuff like coconut shrimp).I’ve used the sync function once (for timing items with different cooking times), but didn’t like that I could not add an extra minute when I found one side was still not quite as crisp as I wanted – so now I just do everything on the manual settings and do my own guestimates for when to start the second side. That’s not exactly difficult to do since the fryer comes up to temp very quickly (i.e. very little lead time needed).The rubber ‘spacers’ on the inserts are not quite as well designed as they could be IMO (often coming partly undone), but that’s a minor gripe on an otherwise excellent air fryer.

   Buy one!
   How did I live without an air fryer for so long?!? I’ve had this one for a few months and use it several times a week. I love that it has a viewing window so I can check on the food. Most do not have that. I got it at a great price too. Put foil at the bottom and then the plate and it will help with cleanup. The initial smell goes away after you run it empty a couple of times so that wasn’t an issue for me. Cleanup is pretty easy. It works like a charm and is very easy to operate. I only use the air fry and reheat options. Someone told me that all the other options all do the same thing, which is air fry. I’ll try them out one of these days. The black color looks nice and sleek since it lives on my counter. Now I look for groceries that have air fry instructions printed on them.

   Love this air fryer! Especially the clear view!
   We went with this air fryer after our Ninja one died after many years of use. We are so happy we did!My favorite features of this air fryer:1. Clear view- you can see the food cooking so you don’t have to loose heat by checking the food as it cooks. This clear view goes off, and you can touch a button to turn the light back on at anytime.2. Preheating. It does this by default. Set your time and temp, let it preheat, then it pauses to allow you to put the food in. Once you re-insert the basket with food, it automatically starts cooking. It also has you turn/rotate your food about halfway through cook time.3. I like that it’s wider basket instead of taller one. Makes it easy to clean. Allows food to cook more consistently because it’s not all crammed.

   Favorite appliance
   I love that there are two baskets, they work separately or tandem. I got liners because cleanup is easier and it doesn’t affect cooking at all. Hot Pockets take longer than the microwave, worth the extra time. Programming is simple. I’ve reheated pizza, fried chicken, everything is better than the microwave. Frozen french fries come out super crispy.

   La fenêtre est ultra pratique. On peut regarder l’état de la cuisson sans interrompre cette dernière. Extrêmement facile d’utilisation, sans avoir à lire le livret d’instruction. Les deux tiroirs permettent d’utiliser qu’une section à la fois ou les deux, selon l’usage. Je réserve un tiroir pour les viandes et l’autre pour le reste. Donc je lave à fond le premier après chaque utilisation.Pro: la fenêtre, les 2 tiroirs indépendants, toutes les étapes viennent avec un bip agréable, moyennement silencieux (40% d’un T-Fal Actifryer)Contre: la fenêtre requiert légèrement plus de soin au nettoyage (VIM), prend une bonne espace sur le comptoir

    This air fryer has changed our lives. It is easy to use with simple controls. It cooks everything to perfection and it is simple to clean. The basket size is perfect for our family of three and the interior light is super helpful. We really love this air fryer compared to our previous unit and I wish I could give one to everyone I know.
